What inspired you to apply for the "Celebrating Fashion Future" program?
I was inspired to apply after seeing how previous scholars were elevated through the experience! Gaining meaningful industry exposure and building strong professional networks. The opportunity to go behind the scenes, learn about the many roles within fashion, and understand how the industry truly operates deeply intrigued me. I am eager to learn, advance my craft, and gain hands-on experience, while also using my role as Marketing and Social Media Director of BRAG to amplify and promote the program’s impact.
What drives you? Share your passions, values, or a defining experience that shaped who you are today.
What drives me is the belief that I can always do and achieve more. When I reflect on how far I’ve come and what I’ve been able to build with limited resources, it motivates me deeply. It reminds me that my growth is not accidental it’s earned. Knowing my potential is far greater than my current circumstances pushes me to keep striving, learning, and expanding my vision for what’s possible.
How do you see yourself as part of Fashion's future?
I see myself as part of fashion’s future as a voice of the next generation! One that experiences fashion as both art and industry. I bring a strong sense of personal branding and a clear understanding of how to authentically market creativity to consumers. My perspective blends culture, storytelling, and strategy, allowing me to connect fashion to people in meaningful, modern ways.
How does your campus Black Retail Action Group (BRAG) create community and opportunity for students?
BRAG creates opportunity by directly connecting students to hands-on, corporate-facing experiences within the retail and fashion industries. It provides a space where students can learn industry insights, apply classroom knowledge in real time, and build professional confidence. Beyond opportunity, BRAG fosters community by bringing together students with shared interests and ambitions, encouraging collaboration, mentorship, and growth.
