Supply Chain Management

Senior

What inspired you to apply for the "Celebrating Fashion Future" program?

Growing up, I’ve always been drawn to fashion not just as clothing, but as storytelling and strategy. As a Supply Chain Management major at Howard University and President of our BRAG chapter, I see how creativity and operations intersect to shape the industry’s future. Programs like “Celebrating Fashion’s Future” represent more than inspiration they provide access, insight, and representation. I was inspired to apply because I want to deepen my understanding of how innovative brands operate behind the scenes while positioning myself to lead, create impact, and open doors for other students who look like me in fashion.

What drives you? Share your passions, values, or a defining experience that shaped who you are today.

I see myself shaping Fashion’s future at the intersection of creativity and operations. As a Supply Chain Management major, I understand that innovation isn’t just design it’s sourcing, planning, and strategy. I bring a perspective rooted in both analytics and culture, shaped by my experience at an HBCU and leading BRAG. I care about representation, sustainability, and building systems that are both profitable and inclusive. My contribution will be bridging the gap between vision and execution ensuring brands don’t just look good, but operate responsibly, reflect diverse voices, and create long-term impact across the entire value chain.

How does your campus Black Retail Action Group (BRAG) create community and opportunity for students?

How has attending an HBCU set you up for success?

Attending an HBCU has given me confidence, clarity, and community. At Howard, I’m surrounded by excellence that looks like me, which has strengthened my self-belief and leadership voice. It’s an environment that challenges me academically while also affirming my identity. Through roles like leading BRAG, I’ve gained hands-on experience organizing corporate partnerships, managing teams, and representing students in professional spaces. An HBCU doesn’t just prepare you for a career it prepares you to lead with purpose, cultural awareness, and resilience. That foundation has positioned me to enter any room assured, capable, and ready to create impact.
